Our Complaints Process
- Acknowledgement: We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 3-5 working days.
- Assessment: Your complaint will be reviewed by a designated editor or the editorial team. We will assess whether your complaint falls within the scope of our Complaints Policy and warrants further investigation.
- Investigation: If your complaint is deemed valid, we will conduct a thorough investigation. This may involve reviewing the relevant content, consulting with the author and editor involved, and examining any supporting evidence provided.
- Response: We aim to respond to complaints within 14-21 working days of acknowledgement, although complex cases may take longer. Our response will outline the findings of our investigation and any action we propose to take.
- Possible Outcomes: Depending on the nature and validity of the complaint, possible outcomes may include:
- No further action: If we find that the content was accurate and in line with our editorial standards.
- Clarification: If we believe clarification of a point is needed within the existing article.
- Correction: If we identify a factual inaccuracy, we will publish a correction (see our Corrections Policy below).
- Retraction: In cases of serious breach of ethical standards or gross inaccuracy, we may retract the article.
- Apology: Where appropriate, we will issue a public or private apology.

- Provide Correct Information & Source: Provide the correct information and, crucially, cite a reliable source that verifies the correct information. Links to reputable sources are highly helpful.

Our Corrections Process
- Verification: Our editorial team will promptly verify the information you have provided and assess whether a correction is warranted. We will check your cited sources and conduct our fact-checking.
- Implementation: If a factual error is confirmed, we will publish a correction as quickly as possible.
- Transparency: Corrections will be visible to readers. We will typically append a correction notice to the bottom of the online article, clearly stating what was corrected and the date of correction. In some cases, we may also update the text of the article directly and note the correction in the notice.
